Eagle Canyon Endurance Ride 2024

David and I finally just got home safely from Eagle Canyon Endurance Ride! It was our first time attending and a great first ride of the season.  The rolling hills were great conditioning and cool weather was a nice transition for the boys. Of course -the first ride of the season is always exciting - I think Gizmo’s eyes stopped rolling around in his head at 25 miles.  As always, Che was all business.

There were so many exceptional riders and horses through happenstance only did Che and Gizmo come in first together. Gizmo eeked out a Best Condition over his brother - I think a little sibling rivalry happening!

We had a trailer mishap coming home when we lost a tire on the horse trailer and damaged the axle- but as always- figured it out. All that matters was that the precious cargo was just fine. We ended up camping at the Pendleton fairgrounds a few extra days and eating our weight in free popcorn and coffee.

Public safety announcement- we had our bearings packed and the trailer serviced just a few trips prior to the ride so always be vigilant!

We are already looking forward to the next ride!
