About Our Horses
David has been competing on Rocky Mountain Horses for 7 years. He fell in love with the breed characteristics after he purchased Che’Ole – an untrained and recently gelded 8 year old. Che’Ole taught David that stamina, surefootedness, agility and disposition were all attributes that contributed to a successful endurance horse. David convinced Melissa to start riding Rocky Mountain Horses with him so she could keep up on the treacherous mountain terrain of Eastern Oregon. David and Melissa now have 10 Rocky Mountain Horses of all ages and will be campaigning several younger horses, including 2 stallions, in the next two years. They strive to breed Rocky Mountain Horses that are physically and emotionally fit for the rigors of long distance riding over rough terrain.
