Tevis 2023
🐎 Exciting News! Heading to Auburn, California for Tevis 2023 🏁
We're thrilled to announce that David and his incredible equine partner Che'Ole are preparing for their second completion at Tevis! Their first Tevis experience was in 2019, and they're eager to take on the challenge once again.
Che'Ole, a remarkable 15-year-old Rocky Mountain Horse and Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse gelding, has been David's trusted companion since 2016. Together, they've accomplished remarkable feats in endurance riding, including an impressive record of 6 100-mile completions, 21 Best Conditions, 38 First Place Completions, and a whopping 3,450 endurance miles!
Currently, Che is at Quadrant 25, situated at an elevation of 4,500 feet. Conditioning is a crucial aspect of their preparation for Tevis, and they're diligently training on hills and at elevated terrain to ensure a successful completion.
What makes their journey even more special is the incredible crew supporting them. Melissa, her parents, and their friends will be there every step of the way, providing invaluable assistance and cheering them on.
Mark your calendars, because we'll be heading to Tevis on July 25th, allowing Che'Ole to rest and recharge before the race begins. Stay tuned for more updates on their Tevis adventure!
