2025 PNER Convention
Whew! Well I just arrived home from the Pacific Northwest Endurance Rides (PNER) Annual convention 2024 which brings everyone involved in endurance riding in the region to celebrate a successful year as well as provide educational opportunities. We had over 100 attendees from Canada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana who gathered in Central Oregon at the Eagle Crest Resort. As Vice President of PNER I was responsible for organizing the convention and ensuring it ran smoothly.
The speakers we had were absolutely tremendous and included topics on personal fitness and nutrition, backcountry first aid, balanced riding, fueling your equine partner, hay analysis, and much more! The topics were pertinent to all equine disciplines!
We celebrated accomplishments on Friday and Saturday evening with awards and dinner-which is a great time to catch up with friends outside of the ride season. We also participated in a casino night where we learned how to play blackjack and poker!
The PNER Convention is also a fundraiser and necessary to replenish our trail grants, educational grants, and cover educational speakers at convention. Many generous people supported PNER with donated prizes for the raffle. Quadrant 25 donated a 2 day stay to train and condition for endurance in the Wallowa Mountains on our Rocky Mountain Horses.
I am hoping post convention, that everyone is inspired to get out there in the cold and muck and start conditioning for the 2025 endurance season!
